On Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Petersburg Racquet Club Banana Open tournament, Ann Taylor was honored for her many contributions to the CSRA tennis community. Among the honors, the CSRATA Scholarship Committee, along with the CSRA Tennis Association Board, renamed the CSRATA Tennis Scholarship as the “ANN TAYLOR SCHOLARSHIP,” beginning with the two scholarships to be awarded this school year.
This scholarship was created in 2014 to award a partial college scholarship to one deserving graduating high school male and one graduating high school female. The amount each student received has varied from year to year based on fundraising.
To be considered for the award, candidates must currently be on their high school varsity tennis team, have a minimum unweighted GPA of 3.0, be a resident within the geographic boundaries of the CSRATA and intend to attend any accredited college or university worldwide.
The recipients of this award will be expected to demonstrate an outstanding work ethic on their high school tennis team as well as in the classroom and will be CSRATA “Ambassadors of Tennis” as they move on to their college studies and beyond.
