What is TRI-LEVEL?
- Tri-level is a league in which teams consist of players at three different NTRP ratings.
- 18+ Men’s leagues, 3.0 – 4.0 (3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 lines)
- 18+ Women's leagues, 2.5 - 3.5 (2.5, 3.0 and 3.5 lines), 3.5 - 4.5 (3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 lines).
- Tri-Level will NOT have any effect on NTRP rating.
Why?
This league will give players another opportunity for competitive tennis while at the same time socializing with players of other levels. Friend groups, facilities, or family members can all play on the same team!
Details
- A team match consists of 3 individual doubles matches. For example, a Men's match will consist of one doubles match at each of the three levels, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0. Line 1 will be 4.0, Line 2 will be 3.5, and Line 3 will be 3.0.
- Tri-level individual matches will use the same format as regular matches – best of three sets with a 10 point Coman Tiebreak in lieu of third set.
- Tri-Level results will not have any effect on NTRP rating
- Team size will be 14 max, but it’s up to captains to decide how many players of each level will be on the team.
- Players may play at their NTRP rated level or one level higher, but they may not play a lower level.
- The team will register and report scoring through TennisLink.
- There is advancement to Georgia State championships. Players must play in one match to qualify for state.
