Purpose: To provide an enjoyable and fun tennis event for the weekend. This is a fundraiser event that supports the Walton Foundation for Independence*. 100% of all entry fees, sponsorships and donations go directly to the Walton Foundation and are tax deductible. Tournament expenses, such as meals and beverages, are funded by the CSRA Tennis Association.
Hosts: CSRA Tennis Association and Augusta University Tennis Team
Tournament Directors: Marc Blouin, Director of Tennis from Augusta Country Club will direct the Senior event on Saturday and the Pro/Am on Sunday. John Longo is the Tournament Chair.

Meals Provided: Saturday: Breakfast, and lunch – Sunday: lunch
Beverages Provided: Beer, wine, bottled water, soft drinks. OJ for breakfast.
Senior Saturday Oct 17 Format:
Format will be “short matches” 20 minutes with a lots of rotation and coordinated by Marc Blouin of Augusta Country Club. Registration will be limited to first 36 Men and 36 Women. Registration fee is $25/person, deadline is Wednesday, October 14th. All Saturday play will be on clay courts. Levels of play: Age 50+ Men and Women Men 9:00 – 11:30, Women 1:30 – 4:00. Lunch provided between 11:30 and 1:00; Wheelchair exhibition by Donald Shapiro and others during lunch. |
Pro-Am Sunday Oct 18 Format:
Have you ever wanted to play with the top area players? This is your chance. You will play with multiple Augusta area teaching pros and special guests in fast paced matches. Spectators/supporters will donate money to give the playing amateur advantages (e.g., area pro has to play with non-dominant hand). All proceeds to benefit Walton Foundation for Independence. Registration fee is $25/person and is limited to the first 32 Amateurs to register, deadline is Wednesday, October 14th. 12:00 – Start play 1:00– We will break for lunch and beverages 2:00 –resume the Pro/Am competition Sunday play will be completed by 3:30 followed by a brief awards |
